Leandro Iorio obtained Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2021 and is currently a researcher at the same University in the Department of Industrial Engineering. His main scientific interests deal with polymer composites with shape memory properties and the innovative technologies for materials processing. Since 2017 he collaborates with the Manufacturing Technology Research Group (MATERG). In this period, he has been involved in several projects in the Aerospace sector such as the use of shape memory polymer composite booms for the deployment of solar sails (funded by the Italian Space Agency). He also has been involved in the Experiments MISSE-9, MISSE-10, MISSE-12 and MISSE-13 regarding Polymers and Composites Experiment (PCE) by NASA.
